6. Words That Are Both Noun and Verb

As we know most words function as different parts of speech. This article lists more than 450 words which function both as Noun and Verb. While we are familiar with meaning of 'crack' as a noun, as a verb 'crack' has different meanings. Examples: 1) The ice sheet starts cracking by Janyuary end; 2) The convict cracked during the intense interrogation; 3) The cyber expert could crack the firewall. It is advisable to make it a practice to refer to Oxford or Cambridge or any such dictionary with sentence examples which make vocabulary building easier.
